By car:

From Munich follow the signs for Salzburg. After the Austrian border, take the turn off for Villach; after Villach, follow the signs for Udine. After the Italian border, immediately after the three tunnels, turn right towards Tarvisio; this is clearly sign posted. At the end, turn left at the T-junction. At the following T-junction turn right, turn left after the bridge, and follow the road which slopes up to the right. At the cross-roads turn left towards Passo del Predil. Don’t drive too fast in the village Cave del Predil (speed checks are present) and follow the road upwards to the Slovenian border.

Here you enter the Triglav National Park. Follow Bovec, towards Nova Gorica/Tolmin. After Kobarid follow directions for Tolmin, you drive through Tolmin direction Most na Soči/Ljubljana. After approximately 3 kilometres after Tolmin Most na Soči is at the lake on the right hand. Turn at the T-junction to the right, after 50 meters before the bar turn right downhill and there you find the gate to Vila Labod.
